Daniel Craig has been hailed as one of the finest actors of his generation on stage and screen, and has been credited with reinventing James Bond for the modern era when he took on the role ten years ago in Casino Royale. This is his fourth outing as 007 after Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace and Skyfall. His earlier films include The Mother, Layer Cake, Stephen Spielberg’s Academy Award-nominated Munich, and David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. In 2013, Craig starred opposite Rafe Spall and Rachel Weisz in the critically acclaimed Broadway show “Betrayal”, written by Harold Pinter and directed by Mike Nichols. The play smashed box-office records, grossing $17.5 million during its sold-out 14 week run.
Craig has recently signed on to play Iago in an off Broadway production of “Othello”. The play will be staged by New York Theater Workshop, a prestigious but small nonprofit theatre that plans to present the work for a limited run in the fall of 2016.
