Helen McCrory and Ola Rapace will appear in SKYFALL, the 23rd 007 movie, which began shooting in London today. They join previously announced stars Daniel Craig as James Bond 007, Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe and Ben Whishaw.
Helen McCrory is one of the UK’s most respected stage and screen actresses. SKYFALL will not be the first time Helen has been directed by Sam Mendes; the pair worked together on a double-bill of Uncle Vanya and Twelfth Night at the Donmar Warehouse. Helen’s film credits include Cherie Blair in the Academy Award-winning The Queen, Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, and Mama Jeanne in Martin Scorsese’s Hugo.
Ola Rapace became a star in Sweden playing the lead role in the Swedish television series Brotherhood. His other television credits include the award-winning crime series Wallander and Anna Pihl. Ola’s film roles include Lasse in Lukas Moodysson’s Together and Johan in Pernilla August’s Beyond.
SKYFALL, from Albert R. Broccoli’s Eon Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures, will begin its worldwide roll-out in the UK on October 26th 2012, and is released in North America on November 9th 2012.
